Filipino film director and producer Gino M. Santos slammed President Rodrigo Duterte through a series of tweets recently. The director was infuriated and called Duterte a “pet’ after the latter expressed his appreciation for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In his recent televised briefing, Duterte thanked and praised Chinese President Xi for his “consoling words” amid the growing novel coronavirus crisis.
Santos wrote, “Bakit sya nagshout out sa bossing Xi Ji ping nya? He’s such a pet..tapos pet ni Duts si Bong Go.”

Santos also said that Filipino citizens should be prioritized in the testing for COVID-19 instead of Duterte. The president underwent coronavirus test last March 12, Thursday.

He also shared a Twitter post of actress Agot Isidro in which she supposedly called Duterte and Go as a love team for undergoing the test together.

Agot is one of the celebrities who criticized the government after it was reported that 52 medical boxes from the Philippines were shipped off to China as a form of donation. The actress also tweeted about Duterte’s previous speech regarding the lack of test kits for the novel coronavirus
As of this writing, the fast-spreading virus has infected 217 persons in the country and caused 17 total deaths.
