In light of the community quarantine being imposed on the whole of the National Capital Region, two celebrities went to social media to slam a government official who ironically ignored the current measure.
Theatre and television actress Chai Fonacier tweeted her disgust over Sen. Bong Go’s decision to go to an evacuation center to distribute relief goods while drawing a crowd and ignoring the social distancing protocol.
“Ayaw ko’g ingni’g ‘cooperate’ kung mismong pambansang muchacho di kabalo musunod,” said Fonacier.

Actor Alex Medina also couldn’t contain his indignation over Go’s irresponsible action. He said if a government official cannot follow its own measures how can you expect people not to speak about it.
“Diba sinabi avoid crowds, ‘social distancing’? Putangina talaga ng gobyerno natin tapos expect mo lang kami manahimik?” said Alex.
Bo Bong Go nagkakalat pa, sinabi na ngang wag ng umalis ng bahay, nag ipon pa ng maramaing tao sa isang lugar! Diba sinabi avoid crowds, "social distancing"? Putangina talaga ng gobyerno natin tapos expect mo lang kami manahimik? đź–•đź–•đź–•

On March 14, Sen. Bong Go together with celebrities Robin Padilla, Phillip Salvador, and Victor Neri went to Butuan City to distribute relief goods at an evacuation center.
Although Go argued that he maintained a distance from the people as part of a social distancing measure, people could be seen crowding the area.
Ironically, Go’s visit came right after President Rodrigo Duterte’s announcement placing the whole NCR under community quarantine.
During the announcement where Go was right beside the president, Duterte appealed to the public to avoid public gatherings and practice social distancing, a practice highly recommended by health experts to slow down the spread of the virus. Yet Duterte’s right hand man Go was one of the first to break this rule.
