ABS-CBN and GMA Network are complying with the guidelines set by the government concerning the COVID-19 outbreak by suspending production on shows temporarily and air reruns of their previous shows.
Kapuso PR Girl’s Twitter account posted GMA Network’s statement about their new programming schedule.
“GMA Network is staying true to its commitment to deliver Serbisyong Totoo most especially during these trying times through the continued delivery of the latest news and information to the public across all its platforms.
“On air, viewers could stay up-to-date by watching newscasts and other breaking news on GMA-7 and GMA News TV. Listeners can be assured that they can still tune in via Super Radyo DZBB 594khz, Barangay LS 97.1 and the rest of RGMA radio stations across the country. ABS-CBN, on the other hand, despite its on-going battle for franchise renewed, also complied with the guidelines established by the government regarding the outbreak of COVID-19.
In their statement, ABS-CBN will be bringing back classic teleseryes and airing original iWant series instead of their current primetime shows by March 16, Monday.
“Pamilya Ko,” will be replaced by 2011 Philippine comedy-drama “100 Days to Heaven.” which starred Jodi Sta. Maria, Connie Reyes, and Xyriel Manabat.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano‘ will be replaced by the phenomenal inspirational series’ May Bukas Pa’ starring Zaijian Jaranilla.
Make It With You‘ will be replaced by 2015 Philippine romantic comedy television series’ On The Wings of Love’ featuring Nadine Lustre and James Reid.
A Soldier’s Heart’ will be replaced by the mystery thriller’ I Am U,’ an iWant original series starring Julia Barretto.
ABS-CBN assured that these changes are only temporary. Regular programming will resume if conditions will improve for the sake of the safety and well-being of the cast, crew, and audiences.
