- VIVA founder Vic del Rosario revealed that Lustre is supposed to star in seven more movies with Viva Films under their existing contract
- She had her launching film Diary ng Panget with Viva
Nadine Lustre has been drawing attention online after she decided to leave Viva Artists Agency, the talent arm of Viva Entertainment Incorporated which has managed her since 2009.
It was on Monday, January 27, when Lustre’s lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan of Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices, issued a statement that the actress was no longer a talent of Viva Artists Agency.
However, the talent agency opposed this, saying Lustre still remains an exclusive artist of the agency and she could not unilaterally withdraw from her contract.
Viva also warned that it will not hesitate to initiate proper legal actions to anyone who contravenes the managerial contract of Viva.
In response to this, Atty. Lorna Kapunan released another statement on behalf of Nadine.
“We welcome any legal action by Viva so their unconscionable, oppressive, and illegal contract with Nadine (and their other artists) can be litigated in the proper forum,” she said.
Despite quitting the Viva Artists Agency, Lustre still has her exclusive movie contract with Viva Communications, Inc.

During the VIVA Vision 2020 last January 28, VIVA Founder Vic del Rosario revealed that Lustre is supposed to star in 7 movies under Viva.
“Actually, meron pang seven movies pa sana ang nakakontrata… ‘Yung “Miracle,” tinanggihan niya eh so napalitan siya ni Bela [Padilla] eh,” he said referring to the top-earning Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 entry Miracle in Cell No. 7.
Del Rosario added, “Dapat sa kanya ‘yung role na ‘yun so mabuti naman at natanggap ni Bela. So meron kaming inoffer pa naman.”
Speaking about Nadine declining projects,he said, “Eh dun sa kontrata naman, pwede siyang mag-no dahil ‘yung kontrata namin, pwedeng magreject ang artist ‘pag hindi nila type. Pero ‘yung bawal lang ‘yung bawal lumabas sa iba.”
In 2019, Lustre was seen in two Viva Films, namely “Ulan” and “Indak.” Aside from Miracle in Cell No. 7, the actress was also chosen to lead the Philippine adaptation of Spellbound along with James Reid under Viva. Bela Padilla and Marco Gumabao have been recast into their roles.
Lustre starred in Viva films Never Not Love You (2018) which won her three best actress awards.
Her launching film along with Reid, Diary ng Panget (2014), was also made in the same agency.
