ABS-CBN Music Head Roxy Liquigan recently posted on his Twitter account about the network not violating any laws in reaction to the quo warranto petition filed in the Supreme Court by the solicitor general.
A Twitter user with the name jhustein1 replied to the tweet by saying, “Magbayad muna ang network mo ng tamang buwis. Gahaman kasi ang mga lopez tuso rin kaya kinakarma. Epal bakit di mo sabihin sa mga boss niyo ang pagbababayd ng buwis. Magnanakaw rin ang abscbn. Sigurado ka nagbabayad ng tamang buwis sa gobyerno ang mga amo mong demonyo. Part ka ng mgmt. that’s why ur licking their ass.”
Liquigan fired back by saying ABS-CBN doesn’t have any tax deficiencies and unpaid debts.

Santos reiterated that they are eager to prove that they have paid the taxes in the court if only they will be given a chance to do it.
Yes we will. Kung bigyan ng chance sa korte na sinasabi mo.

It’s been more than three years since ABS-CBN applied for its franchise renewal but, until now the Congress has yet to hear bills regarding the issue.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives adjourned the session to discuss the ABS-CBN franchise renewal in as quickly as five minutes due to the lack of attendees.

Martin Romualdez stated: “The House leadership has decided to adjourn today’s session due to lack of quorum.”
The interrupted session of House of Representatives came after a day when Buhay party-list representative Jose “Lito” Atienza demands Chairman of the House Committee on Legislative Franchises Franz Alvarez to resign, for he failed to act on 11 pending bills to renew the giant network’s franchise.
ABS-CBN has only 1 month to go before it expires the existing franchise, but to Solicitor General Jose Calida filed quo warranto with Supreme Court to revoke the network’s existing license due to his allegations of highly abusive practices and accepting foreign investors.
In which by the way, ABS-CBN released an official statement to oppose Calida’s allegation, confirming that everything that the network does is in accordance with the law, and Calida’s action is merely an attempt to deprive Filipinos of ABS-CBN’s services.
