Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy administrator Mocha Uson called out ABS-CBN to “stop the drama” but rather answer the allegations that the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) has made.
On her Twitter account, @MochaUson, she retweeted a tweet from News5 AKSYON, “Ang dami ng nailabas na propaganda ng ABSCBN na nagpapaawa pero ang sagutin ang korte hindi magawa gawa. Stop the drama answer the allegations.”

Her tweet has gained a lot of negative comments on how useless she is like a government official.
Netizens are tweeting that instead of doing useless things, she should rather do her job.

Girl, order to file comment is issued as a matter of procedure not because ABS-CBN doesn’t want to file one. You want to study law, right? Then perhaps you should read more before giving unsolicited wrong comments like this. https://t.co/4inDnb1rBG

Solicitor General Jose Calida wants to cancel the franchise of ABS-CBN by using Quo Warranto, the same thing he used to expel former Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, a known Duterte critic.
According to Calida, the company abused the franchise by selling ABS-CBN TV Plus and having the option to use pay per view.
In response to the quo warranto petition, ABS-CBN said it complied with the law.
“All our broadcast offerings including KBO, have received the necessary government and regulatory approvals and are not prohibited by our franchise.”
Congress, on the other hand, has the power to approve the renewal of the franchise renewal that lasts up to 25 years. As of now, 11 bills are seeking to prolong ABS-CBN’s franchise.
Just recently, the OSG has filed for a gag order on ABS CBN, prohibiting the parties or their representatives to discuss the merits of the case.
“The Supreme Court has ordered the respondents ABS-CBN Corp. and ABS-CBN Convergence to file their respective comments to the motion filed by Office of Solicitor General within a non-extendible period of 5 days of notice,” said Supreme Court Spokesman Brian Keith Hosaka.
