While enjoying her motherhood, she pursued to continue some of her commercial ad projects the Biofit Tea, Hana Shampoo, Kopiko Cafe Blanca, 555 Tuna, and the Del Monte Quick & Easy TV ad, together with her husband.
After giving birth, Marian appeared in a cameo role in Imagine You and Me film in 2016 and in a 44th Manila Film Festival Entry, Fantastica in 2018.
This year, the Tadhana host scheduled her big-screen comeback projects after years of hiatus during a blog conference.
“May dalawang pelikula ako again this year. So abangan ninyo ‘yan.”
Marian’s comeback might overlap a schedule with her husband’s current projects but she assured they always know how to share responsibilities as parents to their kids Zia and Ziggy.
“Compromise naman kami ni Dong kasi ‘yung Descendants [of the Sun] almost halfway na rin sila ‘eh. Habang nasa trabaho si Nanay, si Tatay and in-charge sa mga bata,” she said.
The actress has been vocal for the support shown to her by the network’s management. She shared how GMA Network understands her as a mother.
“Priority ko talaga ay ‘yung mga anak ko. But still, nakikipag-compromise sila (GMA) sa scheduling and time. Mabilis lang ‘yung taping namin sa Tadhana and very light lang, masaya lang ‘yung mga kasama ko, thankful ka na may trabaho ka pero ang bonus doon ay ‘yung mga kasama mo na inaalagan ka at alam mong mahal ka.”
Aside from the two movies, Marian will also be having her primetime series First Yaya this year.
