- Jinggoy Estrada excited about his upcoming film Coming Home.
- Jinggoy has no comment on franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.
Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada shared his excitement and fears about his showbiz comeback. Jinggoy will star in the upcoming film Coming Home.
“Hindi ko pwedeng talikuran ang aking pinanggalingan dahil dito ko nakilala, sa pag-aartista,” he said.
During the movie’s press conference, Jinggoy said he’s excited about his new film Coming Home but at the same time anxious because it has been a long time since he last made a movie.
“I feel so excited about the project since I will be working with multi-awarded actors and actresses. My only fear is that I may not be at par with them in terms of acting since I have been inactive for seven years. Baka kinalawang na,” said Jinggoy.
Coming Home is Estrada’s comeback film under Maverick Films and ALV Films.
Directed by Adolf Alix Jr., the movie also stars Sylvia Sanchez, Martin del Rosario, EA de Guzman, Jake Ejercito, Shaira Diaz, Vin Abrenica, Jana Agoncillo, and Julian Estrada.
The film is set to be released as part of the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival for summer.

Estrada’s last film was the MMFF entry Magkaibigan in 2008. His last acting gig meanwhile was in 2012 via the ABS-CBN teleserye Lorenzo’s Time.
Meanwhile, asked about the franchise renewal woes of ABS-CBN, Estrada refused to comment.
In an exclusive interview by the Philippine Star at the presscon of his upcoming film, Estrada said he is not fully aware of the issue so he wouldn’t want to comment.
“I’m not really into it. I don’t know the ins and outs, the status of the franchise of the ABS-CBN, so as much as possible I don’t want to comment about that,” said Jinggoy.
“It’s the decision naman of the lawmakers sa House,” Estrada added.
