With GMA Network’s new drama soap Love of my Life exploring different forms of love, the show’s cast members were asked about their romantic relationships.
For her part, veteran actress Coney Reyes admitted that she’s no longer interested in love anymore.
“Ako, malabo na. Pero like I always say, it’s the Lord who has everything under control,” the 65-year-old actress said during the media conference of Love Of My Life held at GMA Network Center on Tuesday.
“Pero hindi iyon (finding new love) desire ng heart ko. Kasi ang dami ko kailangan gawin. Ang dami ko ginagawa,” she added.
Coney said she’s happy and contented with her life right now.
“Happy na ko. I’m pretty content, where I am right now,” she noted.
“I’m very thankful to the Lord. I feel so blessed,” she added.
The esteemed actress was previously married to former basketball player Lawrence Mumar until they separated in 1986.
They have two children named Carla Mumar and L.A. Mumar.
It is no secret that the father of her youngest son, Vico, is actor-TV host Vic Sotto.
Vico, who was born in June 1989, is now the mayor of Pasig City.
When she was asked to comment on the “good words” that veteran actress Dina Bonnevie previously said about her, Coney said, “That’s nice.”

Then she went on saying, “Huwag na natin ungkatin iyong nakaraan na almost 30 years ago.”
“Tahimik na ang mga tao. Nananahimik na sila sa kanilang mga asawa. So just leave it be,” she added.
At the media conference of the GMA Network teleserye Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday last week, Dina talked about the feud she had with Coney over Vic and the renewed friendship they now cherish.
Dina said it took years before she and Coney made peace.
“God is good. We have forgiven each other. He really finds a way to heal our hearts and our relationships. We’re not perfect people,” the seasoned actress said.
“She has now devoted her life to the Lord and stands on firm ground… Back then, she invited me to the church she goes to. And that was when my being a Christian grew deeper. She was instrumental to that,” she added.
With the media still insisting to get her reaction, Coney simply thanked Dina for the “kind words” and for being nice to Vico.
“I wished her well. She’s always been nice naman to Vico. So walang problema,” she said.
“Like I said, huwag na lang natin ungkatin ang nakaraan. Tama na. Kasi if I say something pa… Wala di ba? Aren’t you happy for all of us, di ba? I’m very happy for them. I’m very happy for her (Dina). I’m very happy for everybody being happy. So tumahimik na lang tayo,” she added with a smile.
Dina married Vic in 1981 and they had two children namely, Danica and Oyo.
They separated in 1992.
Dina has been married to Ilocos Sur Representative Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano since 2012, while Vic got married to Eat Bulaga‘s co-host Pauleen Luna in January 2016.
Love of My Life starring Coney, Carla Abellana, Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez, and Tom Rodriguez, will air weeknights beginning February 3 after The Gift on GMA Telebabad.
