In an interview with the entertainment press, Julie Anne San Jose was asked if she is willing to take the chance to be good friends with Alden Richards again.
Since they are now working together as headliners of the show, All Out Sunday, Asia’s Pop Diva was asked if she is okay with restoring her friendship with the actor.
“Right now we’re okay. That’s all I can say to you,”Julie Anne replied with a smile.
Is she also open to deepening her friendship with Alden?
After pausing for a while, the singer-actress said, “Uhm…I don’t know.”
Julie Anne added that she is focused on her career for now.
She stated, “Hindi ko po alam isasagot ko eh. Basta I’m just focused muna sa like being a… be myself, being a solo performer.”
Asked with the same question again, Julie Anne implied that bringing back her friendship with Alden might be possible.
“I guess? We’ll see. And you know a lot things can happen in a year. I don’t know what’s gonna happen in the future, only God knows. He can twist things around and as for me, madaming mga bagay na mangyayari for me when it comes to work .I claim it kumbaga ito yung…yung mindset ko kasi this year, it’s gonna be a year of great shows talaga.”
On the same day of the All Out Sunday premiere, a hate thread against Julie Anne with the hashtag #NoToJulie became viral online possibly due to her partnership with Alden on the show.
On the hate comments, the singer said she doesn’t pay attention to them, adding she is just loving her job as a performer.
“Hindi po ako talaga nagbabasa ng mga sinasabi ng ibang tao…and hindi naman.
“As for me, hindi ko naman po kailangang ipaliwanag ang sarili bakit ganito ganyan.
“At the end of the day, gusto ko yung ginagawa ko. I love my job and I’m doing my best para i-fulfill kung ano po yung dapat na i-fulfill for the day. And of course, I love what I’m doing. I love performing and I want to make people happy in my own little way,” Julie Anne ended.
