For the past seven years, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada has been inactive in showbiz largely due to his legal woes.
This year, he will be part of upcoming movie Coming Home with Sylvia Sanchez, Ariella Arida, Smokey Manaloto, Jake Ejercito, and Almira Muhlach. The movie was submitted to this year’s Summer Metro Manila Film Festival.
Estrada described his upcoming movie as the same genre of his last OFW movie Katas ng Saudi in 2007 but emphasized that Coming Home features more surprises for the viewers.
Estrada stated: “OFW kumayod sa ibang bansa, bumalik, blow out ng blow out, naubos ang pera, kaya kinakailangan bumalik ulit. This time, almost the same the genre (Katas ng Saudi), pero maraming twists. Sana po tangkilikin ninyo ang aming pelikula, lalong lalo na ang pelikulang Pilipino.”

In an interview, Estrada was hesitant to answer the question directly whether he’s planning to run in the next election or not.
Here’s what Estrada said: “I’ll keep my options open, nasa dugo natin, pero at least sa public service. Habang tumatagal, maraming pagbabago nangyayari sa ating bansa, let’s just cross the bridge when we get there. I’ll just concentrate on uplifting the lives of less fortunate people.”
In the same interview, Estrada also shared how he deals with bashers. Apparently, Estrada is trying to ignore the bashers but sometimes he can get pissed about it.
He continued: “Hindi ko pinapansin, basta ako wala ako ina-agrabiyadong tao. Minsan nakakapikon din, wala ka namang ginagawang masama sa kanila, hayaan mo na, ipapasa-Diyos ko na lang.”
