February 8 will be an early Valentine’s Day treat for music and comedy fans up north with Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista set to showcase their world-class talents again via “The Sweetheart and The Balladeer (Fun Night Only)” happening at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
Joining them are the comedic duo of Donita Nose and Super Tekla with Kyline Alcantara as special guest.
This is the third leg of “The Sweetheart and The Balladeer (Fun Night Only)” following its highly successful, sold-out shows in Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro City last year.
And as part of the 70th anniversary celebration of GMA Network, expect this pre-Valentine concert under the Kapuso Live series to raise the bar as Julie Anne, Christian and their guest, Kyline, bring fun and music on stage through medleys and performances that express different stories about love.
“It’s always been a wonderful experience performing for our Kapuso in different parts of the Philippines and abroad. We just want everyone to have fun. That has always been our goal so this concert’s repertoire will revolve around love songs, and songs that inspire, kasi ‘yun ang gusto nating iparamdam sa audience. I’m very excited for this concert,” says Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose.
Asia’s Balladeer Christian Bautista, on the other hand, shares that they will offer a show-stopping performance for the third leg of their concert series.
“It’s a challenge to show something new in every concert but I am very lucky to be performing once again with these amazing artists. We have more surprises in store for all. Julie and I have performed together several times so we’ve already built that rapport. I believe DonEkla will up their game while Kyline, we’ve seen her grow as a performer, so expect nothing less as we all celebrate the month of love and GMA’s 70th anniversary.”
Meanwhile, the funny ensemble of Donita Nose and Super Tekla takes the audience to a journey of love—but filled with humor. Concert-goers must brace themselves for an evening of laughter as the DonEkla tandem pokes fun on today’s dating trends and their own experience about the joys and pains of being in a relationship.
