After the release of “Scion – Soothsayer”, first part of the concept EP project “Scion”, italian death metal act The Big Jazz Duo has released a new video for the single “Sacrifice To Cinder”. “‘Sacrifice to Cinder’ is the latest track from The Big Jazz Duo’s ‘Scion – Soothsayer’ EP.
We decided to release this video to better highlight the connection between the last work and a new EP to be released in early 2020. The video has been recorded and edited by Riccardo Gilardenghi and Andrea Agnisetta and tries to lead the viewers to an hellish dimension, made of fire and embers, as it’s depicted in the lyrics.
Our protagonist, caught by the Gardeners’ covenant, is sacrificed to the mysterious Crimson God for having betrayed and abandoned the acolytes. ‘Sacrifice To Cinder’ portraits those final thoughts and moments in our character’s mind struggling between life and death”.
The second chapter of the concept will be available during the first part of 2020. “Scion – Soothsayer” has been recorded, mixed and produced at Inverno Studios by Fabrizio Gesuato. The Mastering has been developed by Andrea de Bernardi at Eleven Mastering. All the artworks are made by Loredana Fulgori, who succeeded to wrap the whole composition in darkness and mistery.
