From being a contestant of a GMA Network game show, Herlene Budol or Sexy Hipon is now making her way into the spotlight.
She is now the co-hosting Wowowin along with Willie Revillame. In one episode of the show, Herlene narrated that she was once dubbed as “Yaya Dub” or Maine Mendoza. Along with this,she admitted that she was a big fan of the Kapuso Phenomenal Star and Queen of Dubsmash.
“Idol ko noon si Maine Mendoza. Sa buong school ko sa Angono National High School, ang tawag sa akin Yaya Dub. 2015 ‘yun, Wil.”
Herlene shared that she is fond of mimicking her idol as well as making her Dubsmash videos.
Aside from both being bubbly in character, Herlene and Maine similarly started to gain popularity through their trending videos online.
It seems that Herlene will soon follow the footsteps of Maine as she is now venturing into acting. She first had her acting stint in the drama anthology Magpakailanman for its anniversary special titled “Yaya Dubai and I“.
Meanwhile, Maine is regularly seen in the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! and the weekend comedy show Daddy’s Gurl.
