In an interview with entertainment journalist MJ Felipe, Nancy McDonie of Momoland finally confirmed her project with James Reid The Soulmate Project will push through.
According to the 19-year-old singer, she did some workshops last year when she visited the Philippines, and there are still workshops that she has to attend with James.
Nancy told MJ: “Yes we are! I started doing workshops before I was here and now there are workshops with James in the future.”
The Soulmate Project will be set both here in the Philippines and in Korea.
“I’m going to stay here for a while. It’s planned in Korea, too.”
Asked about more details for her Philippine drama debut series, Nancy replied, “I can’t tell you much, but my character is Korean-American that lives in the Philippines. I think it’s February, very soon.”
The cast of The Soulmate Project will start filming this coming February. It will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who also directed James’s previous shows such as On the Wings of Love, and ‘Till I Met You.
Nancy is fully aware of her fans’ excitement over The Soulmate Project.
“I actually saw a lot of comments and people really are happy about it. I’m really happy for you guys, too.”
James and Nancy’s upcoming series was allegedly hinted as one of the reasons JaDine broke up, as Nadine was not in favor of their team-up. James was supposedly confused about whether or not to accept the project because Nadine was allegedly worried about its impact on their love team. Also, it has caused Nadine’s father Ulysses Lustre to rant on Facebook, leading to confusion on the issue.
