With Vice Ganda and Ion Perez being openly sweet with each other on TV, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairman Maria Rachel Arenas was asked what they would do should viewers react to this display of affection.
Arenas said, “Sa amin we really take steps and summon the network if we receive reports or comments tingin nila na hindi nararapat ipalabas. So far kasi, we haven’t received honestly grave ciomplaints about them. But even when we do, we definitely call the network. Hindi naming pwede isang bahala lamang ang reklamo ng manonood, whether isa lang yan, dalawa, or tatlo, ipapatawag at ipapatawag namin sila.”
Furthermore, if viewers personally feel that Vice and Ion’s sweet moments on ABS-CBN’s noontime show It’s Showtime seem to be inappropriate, MTRCB Chairman encouraged viewers to send them an email and they will be glad to call the network.
She continued: “So far, to be honest, hindi pa kami nakakatanggap ng ganun reklamo. If you think personally that it’s not good for the viewers to see, especially the young ones, please send us an email and we will call them.”
