GMA Network’s upcoming TV series ‘Anak Ni Waray vs. Anak Ni Biday’ revolves around two best friends (Barbie Forteza and Kate Valdez) who are dragged into a family feud by their mothers, who are sworn enemies.
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie will be portraying Ginalyn, a diligent and optimistic Waray girl.
Meanwhile, promising young actress Kate will be portraying Caitlyn, an Ilocana girl who dreams of making it big as a vlogger.
Ginalyn and Caitlyn’s paths meet, and they become best friends.
Little do they know that their mothers of Dina Bonnevie as ‘Biday’ and Snooky Serna as ‘Waray,’ are mortal enemies who both fell in love with the same man, played by Jay Manalo.
‘Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday’ is a remake of the 1984 film of the same name.
Under the helm of Mark Sicat dela Cruz, other Kapuso actors who will be appearing in the TV series are Migo Adecer, Lovi Poe, Max Collins, Lovi Poe and Faith de Silva. Completing the cast are Teresa Loyzaga, Jean Saburit, Tanya Montenegro, Benedict Cua, Celia Rodriguez, Jason Abalos, Pinky Amador, Mike Nacua, Yanna Asistio and Franco Gray Nerona.
