A follower of Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay on Instagram suggested that the actor’s current relationship with actress Andrea Torres would be “more happy” if his marriage to Mary Christine Jolly was legally annulled.
Derek responded with a short reply: “I am, dear.”
In light of the issue, Derek’s legal counsel Atty. Josabeth ‘Joji’ Alonso confirmed that Derek is legally single now, as his previous marriage has been declared null and void.
“Ramsay’s marriage has long been declared null and void. He was confirming the fact that he is no longer married to anyone.”
Ramsay’s court battle with Mary had been highly publicized. The latter had sought P42 million for the child and spousal support in 2014.
Derek and Andrea
It has been more than five months since Andrea and Derek revealed the true score between them. The two were co-stars in the now-defunct The Better Woman.
Andrea had said then, “I think we are now more than friends. We have developed a really very strong friendship in such a short period of time and let’s just say that I like where it’s going.”
Meanwhile, both GMA talents have a new show coming up titled Sanggang Dikit as their second series together after The Better Woman.
