During the Anak ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday Media Conference held at the Executive Lounge of GMA Network, Kate Valdez thanked people who have said she has a resemblance to Liza Soberano.
Kate said: “Ako po masaya ako dahil nga nakikita nila sa akin si Ms. Liza Soberano, pero mas gusto kong i-hiwalay sarili ko dahil iba nga po ako sa kanya.”
When asked if she has seen Liza in person, Kate replied that she has yet to meet the Kapamilya actress and hoped she gets the chance to one day.
“Hindi pa nga po, sana po ma-meet ko siya.”
Meanwhile, Kate revealed that she currently feels pressured to be part of Anak Ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday with Snooky Serna, Barbie Forteza, and Dina Bonnevie. Luckily, Barbie is helping Kate to cope with pressure and to portray her role as the former’s best friend in the series.
“Kasi po medyo matagal rin ako bago bumalik ulit, parang back to zero. Although alam ko na, memorize ko na, sabi kay Ate Barbie nanibago. Hindi, lalabas ‘yan, naturally lalabas ‘yan sa ‘yo pag tuloy tuloy na, inaalalayan naman ako ni Ate Barbs.”
She continued: “Marami rin po ‘ko magandang project at show na talagang nakilala rin ako at character ko, I guess isa rin po ito pero na-pressure po ‘ko. Pero mas nangingibabaw po kasi ‘yung saya ko, kasi magaan yung katrabaho ko, director, staff, mga tao sa set. Kaya nai-ease rin ‘yung pressue, puro tawanan, kwentuhan.”

Kate feels grateful for GMA Network’s generosity in providing projects for her
GMA continuously provides projects for Kate, despite the number of new actors and actresses. Kate expressed her gratitude towards the network during the interview.
Kate stated: “Masaya po ako, of course dahil sa dinami-dami actors dito sa GMA, napapansin pa rin ako at binibigyan pa rin ng chance to inspire people, at gusto pa rin nila ako mag-grow as [an] actor. Sobrang pasasalamat sa network, gusto pa nila akong makitang may magawa pang iba, may maka-trabaho pang mga veteran actors, actresses.”
Kate will play Caitlyn in GMA’s Anak Ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday, an Ilocana girl with high hopes to be a famous vlogger. Together with Barbie as Ginalyn, they are set to be dragged into a family feud that started with their mothers as sworn enemies.

ABS-CBN’s Make It With You remained unbeatable last Friday, January 24, 2020, with as high as 27.2% TV rating against its rival program The Gift with only 13.5% based on Kantar Media. It has become the second-highest show with an average rating of 28.5% based on Kantar Media both in Urban and Rural areas.
