- The teleserye now has an Indonesian adaptation, Putri Mahkota
ABS-CBN’s successful afternoon drama Kadenang Ginto starring Beauty Gonzalez and Dimples Romana has gone International with an adaptation of the series now airing on Indonesian television.
Dreamscape Production Instagram announced on Tuesday that its Indonesian counterpart, titled Putri Mahkota, debuted on January 5.

ABS-CBN International Distribution Asia sales head Wincess Gonzalez said, “We’re excited for Indonesian viewers to welcome into their homes every night the story of Kadenang Ginto. This groundbreaking achievement will continue to inspire ABS-CBN to roll out narrative formats that foreign audiences will love.”
Putri Mahkota, when translated to English means “Crown Princess,” is said to be the first Philippine drama to be adapted by Indonesian television network ANTV.
Aside from the adaptation, the original Philippine version of the show has also been airing in Myanmar on Sky Net.
Kadenang Ginto is the story of Romina Andrada, a secretary turned wife of business tycoon Robert Mondragon, who married her despite the fact that she was raped and was carrying the child of the assailant. Unknown to Romina, it was Daniela, Robert’s daughter, who had orchestrated her abduction, right before seducing Romina’s fiancé, Carlos Bartolome. With their lives intertwined, their daughters, Cassandra and Margaret, are made to fight as to who is the rightful heiress to Robert’s empire.

The series premiered on Kapamilya Gold afternoon block and worldwide via The Filipino Channel on October 8, 2018, replacing ‘Asintado. After over a year on air, Kadenang Ginto is end soon with teasers announcing, “Ang Nalalapit Na Pagtatapos.”
The teleserye is to be replaced by ‘Love Thy Woman‘ this February.
