In an episode of her vlog last January 6, Ivana Alawi along with her sister Mona played a prank on her mom, Fatima Marbella, by wearing clip-on bangs.
Ivana set up the prank her mom who worried about how the new ‘do would affect her image. The hilarious video which spawned memes online has garnered more than 5 million views as of time.
In the first clip of the video, Ivana was seen using a “temporary spray” on her fake bangs to set up her prank.
Ivana narrated, “For today we are going to do something amazing talaga. Ang gagawin natin ipra-prank natin si mama. Bumili ako ng ganitong bangs na dinidikit lang, clip-on bangs. Gugupitin ko po to lalo para magwala siya.
“Kasi ang tagal kong sinasabi gusto kong magpa bangs. ‘Wag Hindi bagay sayo, patay ka sa manager mo.’ Lagi siyang ganun.
“Lagi akong nag-rerequest sa kanya, ‘ma gusto kong magpabangs, sinasabi niya hindi pwede kasi may mga project siyempre hindi naman lahat laging naka-bangs.”
Ivana set up the prank with her sister Mona as her accomplice.
Upon seeing her new hairstyle, Ivana’s mom said furiously to her, “Anong pinaggagawa mo sa sarili mo? Bahala ka, may nag-aantay sa ‘yong project, tingnan mo iba yung pinadalang litrato nila.”
Ivana then quipped,”E ‘di magpadala ulit ako ng litratong ganito tapos hubad.”
As the conversation goes, Fatima implied that she is just worried about Ivana’s career now that she has changed her look.
Ivana made her mom even more furious after she cut a few inches of her fake bangs.
Fatima then continued lecturing her, “Bahala ka.Magbabayad ka ngayon sa manager mo.Bahala ka sa buhay mo. Pinaggagawa mo sa sarili mo.”
“Ma, hindi na ako magiging artista,”the Kapamilya star joked.
Her mom then took away her scissors and mirror and said, “Maghihintay ka ngayon ng mahaba-habang panahon. Bahala ka diyan. Kailan tutubo yan.”
In the end of the video,I vana laughingly revealed to her mom that it was just a prank and repeatedly apologized to her.
“Next time, huwag kayo mag pra-prank sa buhok kasi alam niyo madali ako uminit ng ulo diyan. Diyan ang hanapbuhay mo,” Fatima responded.
