- The ABS CBN franchise renewal is still on its heat due to President Duterte’s allegations on the network’s swindling issue during the campaign for 2016 Presidential elections.
- The comedy queen hopes for the positive side that the Network will still be able to fix the issue (for the sake of her co-celebrities employed in the Kapamilya network).
The first quarter of the year 2020 is not a lucky one for ABS-CBN after President Duterte threatened not to renew the network’s franchise for operations.
On December 3 last year, this franchise renewal for the Kapamilya network is still a hot topic all over the news.
In 2017, the President accused the Network of swindling him personally for not airing his paid advertisements during the 2016 presidential elections.
This is not the first time that Duterte threatened the Lopez-run Network on its franchise renewal but he accompanied this with a promise that the House of the Representatives would give ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal a ‘due process’.
Netizens, solid Kapamilya viewers, and even the celebrities can’t afford not to miss tackling the matter and express their expectations for the Network to have its franchise renewed this year.
Kapamilya stars like formers talents and celebrities of ABS CBN, particularly the Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas expressed hope that this ongoing issue be resolved and have a favorable conclusion.
It was almost half a decade when the actress left ABS-CBN and moved to GMA Network.
She was a solid Kapamilya for almost 16 years and contributed lots of projects. It’s undeniable that her career as an actress and as a comedian was made possible through said Network.
How does this affect Ai-ai?
“Mahirap kasing usapin din yan, e. Kasi unang-una, hindi ko naman alam kung ano ang ins-and-outs nun, kaya wala din naman akong karapatang magsabi ng kung ano,” she started.
“Basta ang ano lang, let’s hope for the best… Para dun sa mga taong nagtatrabaho sa ABS.”
She also said that it was not a coincidence, but she considers it as destiny that she is now a Kapuso star.
“Hindi naman. Nagkataon lang na siguro ito yung ano ko talaga… ang patutunguhan o destiny ko na mapunta sa GMA. Noong time na hindi na ako… nasa ABS, nung wala na akong work, ang talagang plano ko pupunta akong Amerika, yun talaga,” she stressed.
The Comedy Queen has a new film D’Ninang with Joey Marquez, McCoy De Leon, Kisses Delavin, Kelvin Miranda, Angel Guardian, and Kiray Celis.
