In light of Nadine Lustre’s reaction to Ricky Lo’s article in the Philippines Star about her alleged breakup with James Reid, Jobert Sucaldito blasted the Kapamilya actress through a post on his Facebook account.
According to Jobert, Nadine should have called Ricky and told him her side of the story, rather than ranting online against the entertainment columnist and editor.
Jobert felt the need to defend his friend Lo, as he said that the latter is the most respected journalist in the Philippines. For him, Nadine insulted Lo by stating that it’s 2020 and that he could not even spell her name right.
Jobert said, “Nakakaawa rin si Nadine Lustre dahil sa masyado yata niyang isinaisip that she’s that big already. Mahal ko ang batang iyan pero there are things na kailangan niyang maintindihan sa mundong ito. It’s not just about things for herself – dapat marunong siyang umintindi ng salitang RESPETO sa mundong ginagalawan namin.”
“Tulad nitong off na reaction niya sa sinulat ni kaibigang Ricky Lo who has gained the country’s respect as an entertainment editor, hindi siya dapat naging sarkastiko – if she felt na na-offend siya halimbawa sa naisulat about her, the best thing that she could have done was call Ricky Lo and told him her side of the story. Hindi yung sasabihin niyang ‘as if you know so much about me’ or something to that effect with matching ‘you cannot even spell my last name right’ which is near impossible.”
Jobert said that everything that Lo writes is well-researched. Jobert demanded Nadine apologize to Ricky. “You did a great insult on his person as a journalist. Masyado kang nag-feeling above him or many of us—na kaya mo siyang maliitin. Everything that Ricky Lo wrote about you, even the mental illness angle, were researched. Galing din sa ‘yo lahat iyon. Hindi gawa-gawa iyon. You were even quoted to have said na magpapakamatay ka pag iniwan ka ni James Reid, di ba? That’s a sign of depression or mental illness na isang seryosong isyu nga sa isang tao. Tama ka, mental illness is a serious matter na dapat ay mapangalagaan pero sino ba ang nagsabi or nag-insinuate ng such, di ba ikaw? Kaya we think MR. RICKY LO DESERVES AN APOLOGY FROM YOU. It’s never too late pero iyon ang sapantaha namin. Kung nagawa mo ngang bastusin ang isang RICKY LO, the more na puwede mong gawin to any of us. Tama Ining? Bawas lang ng yabang bao pa mahuli ang lahat. Hindi kami makapapayag na mabastos ng kahit sinong celebrity sa mundong ito pag wala sa katwiran.”
