After its run of more than a year, ABS-CBN’s top-rating afternoon series Kadenang Ginto winding down to its final episodes after three seasons.
The show premiered on October 8, 2018.
The series hinted at its finale by releasing a thrilling teaser last Monday, with the tagline, “Ang Nalalapit na Pagtatapos.”
The teaser showed a desperate Daniela (Dimples Romana) as she masterminded a bomb explosion to ruin the event organized by her rival Romina (Beauty Gonzalez).
In the turning point of the series, Romina finally confirmed that her husband Robert (Albert Martinez) was the one who assaulted her in the past which resulted in Cassie’s (Francine Diaz) birth. With this revelation, Romina now has a stronger claim to the Mondragon fortune.

Kadenang Ginto started off with modest ratings during its early run but it recorded a sudden upturn as the story of the warring sides of the Mondragon family uncovered more details. The series gained more popularity after it was featured in memes which went viral online.
With the show’s consistent high ratings, the show was granted with an extension until 2020.

Of late, the ratings of Kadenang Ginto have begun to wane as GMA Network’s drama series Prima Donnas gains better ratings in the afternoon block.
