As the New Year is fast approaching, Yeng Constantino hopes President Rodrigo Duterte will reconsider ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, as this is the main source of living of artists like her.
Nakikita namin yon and we admire you, maybe there are things na hindi agree, it doesn’t mean na lahat ng flaws niyo nakikita namin. I don’t know what’s right and wrong to do, and pinaka ano yung pinaka ugat at puno nito, bakit po humantong sa ganito.
Yeng really hopes that ABS-CBN will continue to air and its franchise gets renewed, especially since she is a homegrown talent of the network.
Yeng admitted that as artists of ABS-CBN, they chose not to discuss about the network’s issue on franchise renewal, as it only saddens them.
“Parang ang hirap pagusapan. Ang hirap pagusapan yung ASAP ung Showtime. Hindi sa walang panahon, it’s just sad to talk about. Pag minsan na lang kayo magkikita ng mga katrabaho mo, in Tawag ng Tanghalan we don’t talk about things that will make you sad, we chose we talk about things na light na lang.”
When ABS-CBN had their Christmas Party last Friday, President Carlo Katigbak and Chairman Mark Lopez advised all celebrities and employees to recharge for 2020 as they have more plans and projects.
“Mag-recharge kayo kasi pagbalik ng 2020, marami tayong gagawin. Dito sa ABS-CBN family is forever, tuloy ang laban.”
