- Vic Sotto says son Vico is too young for the Presidency.
- Vic Sotto is proud of the admiration that Vico is getting.
Eat Bulaga host and ace comedian Vic Sotto believes it’s too early for the call for son Vico to run for President.
In a sideline interview after the mediacon for his Metro Manila Film Festival movie Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity, Bossing was asked about the recent calls on social media pushing for Vico to run for President.
Vic said he is not yet entertaining the notion and he believes that Vico also is not yet looking at that possibility because he’s still young and still has a long way to go in public service.
“Ay malayo pa yun, malayo pa yun. He’s only..he just turned 30, hindi, hindi pa. Siguro wala pa sa isip nya, kahit ako wala, hindi ko iniisip,” Vic answered.
But he shared that he’s very proud whenever people recognize his son’s efforts for his constituents and when people look up to him as their inspiration and influence in serving the public.
“Dun naman ako very proud sa kanya.
But nonetheless, he said he will support his son 100% if ever he decides to run for the presidency in the future.
“Eto nga eh yung pagtakbo nyang Mayor kahit gusto ko syang pigilan, nakita ko yung focus nya sa gusto nyang gawin, eh I’m 100% support,” he said
Calls for Vico’s bid for presidency have been gaining ground on social media. With all his accomplishments, Vico has become an inspiration and a good influence for other public servants.
I don' t think isko will be another duterte, but nevertheless, i still won' t vote for him for president. Gusto ko si vico. Mas gusto ko style nya. Quiet but sincere!

The Philippine constitution requires any candidate for president to be at least 40 years old. With Vico at 30, people need to wait 10 more years before he can throw his hat in the ring.
