Actress and comedienne Pokwang or Marietta Subong in real life did not hold back her anger against a netizen who made a negative remark about local comedy.
On Twitter, the netizen with a username of @JuanDel42542223 made a frank statement in reaction to an article that talked about how Pokwang and other comedians are looked down on nowadays.

Seeing this, the 49-year-old actress then called out the netizen for her negative remark.
Pokwang fired back,”maka cheap na version of ka naman…HUY!!!! kaya mo ba ginagawa namin potah ka??? basahin mo mabuti sinabi ko kobwag kang tanga! Merry christmas ulol!!!”

Meanwhile, another netizen supported the claims about “cheap” comedy and said that there must be a change.
But Pokwang questioned the netizen by saying, “Sige nga educate me, enlighten me kung ano para sa inyo ngayon ang basehan ng mataas na uri ng comedy? Baka mairekomenda ko kayo sa network bilang writer at creative director, kailangan nila ngayon yan.”

Pokwang along with Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza will compete in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019 with their movie Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity.
ABS-CBN actor and comedian Vice Ganda will also join the annual film fest with his entry The Mall, The Merrier. In his earlier interview, the comedian stressed the importance of the comedy genre in the industry.
