- Yasmien Kurdi happy with the feedback of PDEA on their show
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Director General Aaron Aquino praised GMA Network series Beautiful Justice for its portrayal of PDEA agents.
Aquino’s feedback was relayed by Beautiful Justice star Yasmien Kurdi in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.
According to Yasmien, Aquino praised the series for allowing the public to know what PDEA is and how it is doing its job to address the drug problem in the country.
“Masaya siya kasi maganda ‘yung image ng PDEA. At the same time, nare-recognize nga ‘yung mga sacrifices ng mga PDEA agents,” said Kurdi.
The Kapuso actress got hold of the PDEA Director during the agency’s on-the-spot Belen making contest where she was invited to be a judge.
She said she felt honored to be chosen as one of the judges in PDEA’s event because she was able to give back to them by bringing joy to the occasion.
“Masaya ako dahil sa ganun kaliit na bagay for me, napasaya ko ‘yung mga tao sa PDEA.
“It’s an honor po na pinili nila akong judge doon, dahil po ang mga taong ito, they sacrifice a lot of things for the society,” she added
Beautiful Justice tells the story of three women who seek justice after their PDEA agent loved ones get involved in a bloody operation.
It stars Yasmien Kurdi, Bea Binene, and Gabbi Garcia with Gil Cuerva, Derrick Monasterio, and Victor Neri.
Currently, the series is striving hard to compete with its Kapamilya rival FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Based on the latest ratings report from AGB Nielsen NUTAM People survey, Beautiful Justice still lagged behind the Coco Martin-led Ang Probinsyano.
For the December 3, 2019 rating report from AGB Nielsen, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano continued to beat its Kapuso rival 13.2% vs 10.1% or a margin of 3.1%.
Kantar Media also reported a win for the Kapamilya action-drama teleserye with a wider margin of 10.7% at 26.1% vs 15.4%.
