Twenty-two-year-old Kapamilya actress Maymay Entrata shared the essence of staying humble even with a successful career. As per the actress, fame is temporary but the experiences you have will remain as well as the life lessons you will learn throughout the journey.
Maymay shared, “Baka babangon sa hukay lolo ko pag hindi ako humble. Hindi, iniisip ko lang lagi na matatapos din naman ito lahat. At saka ang source ng lahat ng mga blessings na meron ako ay dahil sa Kanya, hindi dahil sa kakayanan ko. Dahil sa dami dami ba naman ng tao bakit ako ang pinili? So maging thankful ako lagi dahil hindi naman pang habang buhay ito. Sa isang iglap mawawala na ito pero ang masaya dun, may experience ka na maganda na puwede mo i-share sa susunod na mga kabataan na nangangarap na matupad yung pangarap nila at ma-inspire sila sa kuwento mo.”
In a span of three years, Maymay has worked in five movies such as Loving in Tandem in 2017, Da One That Ghost Away with Kim Chiu and Ryan Bang in 2018, Vice Ganda’s Fantastica in 2018 and the blockbuster movie of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards Hello, Love, Goodbye in 2019.
While Maymay is one of the most talented young actresses today, she admitted that there are times when she doubts herself.
“Kailangan lang pinaghahandaan bago mo gawin. Kahit marami pa yan, maliit man na bagay o malaki, dapat binibigay mo pa rin yung best mo, yung 100%. Hangga’t maari kaya mong gawin, gagawin mo. Tapos kapag mag da-doubt ka sa sarili mo, hanggang dun ka lang, wala namang magandang patutunguhan yun. Pero kapag positibo ka lang, hindi mo alam na mas marami pang darating sayo. At saka pag andun ka na sa point na susuko ka na, lagi mong tatandaan kung paano ka nagsimula, ba’t andito ka na. Saka ka pa ba susuko, nasa dulo ka na?”

“Kapag nag-save ka ng money dapat ikaw lang nakakaalam, wala ng iba kahit pamilya mo. Bale iibahin mo lang yung budget mo every month, tapos yun lang talaga yung gagastusin mo. Kahit zero balance ka na magtiis ka dahil inubos mo. Siyempre sa lolo ko si Papa Joe ko natutunan yun. Dahil sa kanya mas natutunan ko na mas maging kuntento ako sa simpleng buhay. Kahit kaya mo na, matuto ka pa rin makuntento.”
