Comedian and theater actor Jerald Napoles has found his way back to his previous home ABS-CBN.
Napoles is now part of the longest-running Kapamilya action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Prior to being part of the Kapuso network, Jerald has been doing bit roles on ABS-CBN.
He was part of the popular inspirational teleserye May Bukas Pa in 2009, afternoon series Impostor in 2010, the remake of Mara Clara in 2010, and the suspense-drama Nasaan Ka Elisa in 2011.
The chance to join FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is not new as he was already offered by Coco Martin to join the series in 2015.
“Kaibigan ko si Coco, ang storya niyan, bago magsimula ‘yung Probinsyano tumawag sakin personally. Nasa bakasyon ako non, sabi niya, ‘Paps meron kasi akong bagong show na serye gusto ko nandon kayong dalawa ni Pepe [Herrera].’” said Jerald in one of his interviews
But since Napoles was already part of GMA Network’s Sunday variety show Sunday Pinasaya, he declined the offer during that time.
Napoles’s transfer to ABS-CBN was made possible because of Sunday Pinasaya‘s cancellation.
GMA Network decided to end the four year run of its top rating Sunday afternoon program after it did not renew its contract with the show’s producer APT entertainment.
Aside from that, Jerald has also ended his contract with APT’s Triple A artist management and joined Viva Artists Agency.
Last November 25, 2019, Napoles inked an exclusive five-year contract with VAA where he will be doing 10 movie projects.
With Viva, Jerald has also joined his real-life girlfriend Kim Molina who is also a Viva artist and currently doing the role of Savannah in the hit afternoon teleserye Kadenang Ginto and is a guest star on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as well.
