- Jennylyn Mercardo shrugged off the pressure of competing in the MMFF 2019

Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercardo is up for another Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) film this year with 3Pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon. She will be joined by Coco Martin, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Sam Milby in the movie.
As the annual movie festival draws near, the actress chose to set aside the pressure in the competition.
Jennylyn shared, “Ayaw na lang namin [cast] isipin ‘yun ‘eh gusto na lang namin mag-enjoy. Kasi nag-enjoy din naman kami habang ginagawa namin ‘yung pelikula at confident naman kami lahat. Masarap sa pakiramdam na confident ‘yung director, producer, at mga artista kasi na-a-absorb mo rin ‘yung energy.”
The actress also clarified that she was not also concerned about the order of billing between her and co-actress Ai-Ai.
“Hindi naman importante ‘yun. Wala naman pong problema,” she stated.
Jennylyn then invited everyone to support MMFF films which will premiere on Christmas Day, December 25.
The actress has starred in several MMFF films in the past. Last year, she had a cameo in The Girl in the Orange Dress, a romantic comedy film top-billed by Jericho Rosales and Jessy Mendiola.
She also had the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry All of You with Derek Ramsay. All of You collected ₱34 million at the box office and had the sixth-highest total earnings among the entries that year.
For the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival, she starred in Walang Forever which earned P52 million during its run. Jennylyn won her second MMFF Best Actress Award for this film
English Only, Please, her 2014 Filipino romantic comedy, earned a ₱135 million and her first MMFF Best Actress award.
Her film. Rosario, a 2010 MMFF film entry, received numerous awards and favorable reviews for its cast.
