James Reid and Nadine Lustre, more popularly known as Jadine, haven’t made any projects together for almost a year now and this has caused their fans to become worried about the current state of the popular love team.
After seven years, James decided to leave Viva Artists Agency to pursue a new career path of his own under Reid Entertainment. With this situation, the actor admitted that he is having difficulty working together with Nadine for some unspecified reasons.
“In the pipeline, no. Not right now. Since I left VIVA, it’s been [difficult]. We’re waiting for things to settle down so we can work out how we can work together in the future,” James said.
James was interviewed during a special event for outdoor shoe brand Merrell where he was one of the first Filipino celebrities to hop on the much-talked-about Gorpcore trend.
With his on and off-screen partner left in Viva, James said that it is challenging for them to make a project together.
James shared, “Currently, yes. I admit it’s challenging. But we’re trying to work things out.
“It’s very difficult to talk about it right now. But we’re just waiting for everything to be settled until we can work out how we can work together in the future,” he stated.
He then assured fans that they will work together in their future projects.
“But for sure, me and Nadine are good. We’re definitely going to work together in the future.”
He added: “There’s no reason for us not to work together.”
James and Nadine announced earlier this year that they decided to take on separate career paths to grow as artists. Nadine already had two solo movies Indak and Ulan this year. James was also set to star with Korean girl group member Nancy McDonie in a teleserye. However,rumors have said that their project might be axed.
Besides owning a management company, James also has a record label of his own called Careless Music Manila.
