The annual Metro Manila Film Festival is a much-awaited event every Christmas season.
One of the most talked-about movies of MMFF 2019 is the Philippine remake of Miracle in Cell No. 7 starring Aga Muhlach.
Aga couldn’t help but express his feelings of gratitude to his fans for the warm reception his movie got. The said remake even made a buzz on the social media world on the first day of the Metro Manila Film Festival.
On Instagram, Aga posted a picture of people queuing outside the movie theater to watch the Miracle in Cell No. 7.

“I am truly humbled 🙏🏼 Maraming salamat talaga sa inyong lahat!!!” he wrote in the caption.
The film centers on a mentally challenged man who was wrongfully accused of a crime. In the prison cell, he forms a friendship with his inmates who help him reunite with his daughter.
The remake’s plot may be very similar to the original but the Filipino setting makes it more relatable to local audiences.
