Multimedia star Nadine Lustre took it upon herself to apologize for her father’s Facebook rants.
During her interview for Tonight with Boy Abunda, Nadine was asked about her take on her Father’s cryptic posts a few weeks back.
According to her, she only knew about her father’s posts a few weeks after they went viral so she wasn’t able to address it. But she also shared that they’ve already talked about it and she’s apologizing to whoever was offended by his posts.
“I’m not my dad so we don’t have the same brain, we don’t think alike. Kung sino man iyong na-offend niya or nasaktan niya by what he said, ako, humihingi na po ako nang paumanhin,” said Nadine.
“But I talked to him about it, and I told him that it wasn’t right,” she added.
Nadine’s father Ulysses was at the center of a social media controversy a few weeks back after posting cryptic statuses on Facebook.
In one of his rants, the elder Lustre talked about “flop” and “high gross” which was attributed by fans as a reference to Kathryn Bernardo’s Hello, Love, Goodbye since the post was made after the movie gained success.
Nadine, on the other hand, had a not so impressive run at the box office for her recent films Ulan and Indak.
But although the older Lustre maintained that the post was a generic one and did not pertain to anybody particular, facts about their recent movies were too much of a coincidence for fans to let go as being generic.
After facing backlash from netizens especially Kathryn’s fans, Lustre deleted his Facebook post and announced he was contemplating on suing his bashers.
