Kapamilya singer Morissette Amon is currently gaining attention from netizens after she allegedly walked out of a concert where she was supposed to be a guest performer.
Morissette was one of the guests at Kiel Alo’s birthday concert at the Music Museum last November 6 but was unable to perform.
As a result, the show’s producer Jobert Sucaldito and Morissette’s talent manager David Cosico were forced to appear on stage to say that the singer could not perform because of “medical and emergency issues.”
In the videos posted by user Keribels on YouTube, Jobert said he asked David and Morissette to go up on stage to apologize and to let the singer be seen by the audience to prove that he never cheated the show’s ticket buyers about the singer’s planned appearance.
But instead of appearing on the stage with her manager, Morissette hurriedly left the venue before the announcement.
In an interview with the media, Jobert said Morissette seemed to have been upset by an interview with TV Patrol’s Mario Dumaual who asked questions about her love life.
According to Jobert, the singer suddenly cried and refused to perform after the interview.
“After a while ay nakita ko si Morissette sa backstage na humahagulgol at inuuntog ang ulo sa dingding,” he said.
“Na-shock ako dahil paulit-ulit niyang nuuntog ang kaniyang ulo… Nanginginig si Morissette eh,” he added.
In a post on his Facebook page today (November 7), Jobert said he was hurt and felt disrespected by Morissette when she walked out from the show.
“Hindi man lang kami iginalang ni Morissette – nabastos niya kaming lahat with this. Saan ang paggalang niya sa mga seniors ng show? Kay tito Jun Polistico? Kay Ms. Eva Eugenio? Kay tito Butch Miraflor? Kay Kiel Alo na pinaghandaan talaga ang duet nila ni Morissette?” he said.
“Sa mga co-artists niya? Sa mga tao behind the production and most of all, to the audience na kahit sobrang traffic ay dumating para mapanood sila. Anong ginawa mo Morissette? Papaano mo mari-redeem ang sarili mo with this self-destruction?” he went on.
He concluded: “With what you did Morissette, sana may kumuha pa ng serbisyo mo. Nakakatakot ka palang kunin for shows dahil pag nag-tantrum ka, basta ka na lang aayaw on the spot. That’s not fair – grossly unfair.”
A lot of the show’s audience members also expressed their annoyance towards the singer for her allegedly walking out.
Veteran actresses Daisy Romualdez and Annabelle Rama were among those who vented their frustrations towards Morissette.
In a video that is now going viral on social media, Daisy said: “Wala siyang lugar dito sa showbiz dahil ang ugali ng singer hindi ganyan o artista. ‘Yung problema iwanan mo sa bahay, kumanta ka!
“‘Yung mga tao dito bumili ng ticket, nakakahiya. Inaasahan na kakanta ka tapos konting problema lumayas ka? Hindi ka pa nga ganoon ka-sikat, ano ka si Sarah Geronimo?” she added.
Annabelle then said: “Daisy, ‘wag kang magsasabing ‘hindi ka pa ganoon ka-sikat.’ Hindi ka pa sikat bruha ka!”
Annabelle also brought up Morissette’s issue involving her father and her boyfriend.
“Ang isang singer lumalaki na ang ulo, kinakalaban ang parents, patay ka na ‘day. Goodbye Morissette, karmahin ka sana sa tatay mo,” she said.
Just three months ago, Morissette’s father Amay said the singer left her family to be with her rumored boyfriend, singer Dave Lamarr.
Amay described Dave as “disrespectful” and that he would not allow the latter to destroy his relationship with his daughter.
Amay and Dave reportedly exchanged heated words on social media but the latter denied it was his original account.
Morissette has been silent about the issue but someone who is close to her denied that she and Dave are living together.
