ROME, ITALY, November 29, 2019– Get ready for more show-stopping performances in the second part of the recently held “ASAP Natin ‘To Rome”, airing this Sunday, December 1 (Manila time), seen in the Philippines via TV2 and outside the Philippines via TFC.
Over 40 ABS-CBN stars gathered at the Pallazo Dello Sport in Rome for “ASAP Natin ‘To Rome”, not only for the celebration of TFC’s 25th anniversary but to be present to what have been the biggest reunion of the overseas Filipinos from the various parts of Europe.
“ASAP Natin ‘To” is airing a two-part special of the show in Rome with the first part aired last November 24 and the second part airing this December 1 (Manila time), sharing to its millions of viewers the contagious high energy of the crowd at the Palazzo Dello Sports during the three-hour memorable weekend celebration.
Kicking off the second half of the biggest concert experience—which is the first “ASAP Natin ‘To” show outside of the United Kingdom—are the new generation of Filipinos who are raising the Filipino flag high and proud on the international stage. First in the lineup is Inigo Pascual who recently launched the music video for his single “Catching Feelings”; there is also “Idol Philippines” judge James Reid; Kim Madriaga from “The Voice Italy”; International RnB singer and host Billy Crawford; the sensational TnT Boys; the Philippines’ Soul Supreme KZ; and 2018 “X Factor Romania” grand winner Bella Santiago.
While everyone was moved by the heartwarming performances from YouTube sensation Elsie Atig Balawing who wowed everyone with her cover of Beyoncé’s single “Listen” and Alienette Coldfire who stole hearts and even became 3rd placer of the talent search show “France Got Talent” in 2016. They were joined by the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, the Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, the Concert King Martin Nievera, the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs Angeline Quinto, and the Next Big Diva Morissette.
Sending everyone the feels is singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre, with the Kapamilya leading ladies Toni Gonzaga, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Angel Locsin, who made everyone fall in love with them more with their charm and confidence.
Meantime, loud cheers and shrieks filled the venue when Kapamilya loveteams Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo that is collectively known as KathNiel, and Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata together known as MayWard went onstage to sing some all-time favorite love songs.
Also sending kilig vibes are the lead stars of ABS-CBN’s top-rating TV series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, Coco Martin and Yassi Pressman, with their song and dance number. Their characters Cardo and Alyana, who are married in the series, has gained a following and collectively call their loveteam CarLyana.
Setting the dancefloor on fire are Kim Chiu, Inigo Pascual, Robi Domingo, and Edward Barber in the tune of the hottest dance craze today, which had everyone grooving in the beat.
Sealing the great show is the “Greatest Showdown” segment with some of the biggest names in the Philippine music industry: Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Zsazsa Padilla, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Piolo Pascual, and Erik Santos.
Aside from staging one big show in Europe, some of the artists also went around Rome. In one of their stops, Philippine Ambassador to Rome Holy See welcomed ABS-CBN Global COO Olivia De Jesus, ABS-CBN Global Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa Joseph Arnie Garcia, ABS-CBN Global Europe Country Manager Luis Bariuan, ABS-CBN Global Regional Marketing Head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Audielyn Avecilla-Riola, with Kapamilya artists Martin Nievera and Piolo Pascual at her office in the Philippine Embassy in Rome.
On the other hand, ABS-CBN Global COO Olivia De Jesus, ABS-CBN Global Managing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa Joseph Arnie Garcia, ABS-CBN Global Europe Country Manager Luis Bariuan, ABS-CBN Global Regional Marketing Head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Audielyn Avecilla-Riola, and Kapamilya stars Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Robi Domingo, Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata were welcomed by Fr. Andrew Recepcion and the other priests at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino, which serves as home for the Filipino secular diocesan priests pursuing further studies in Rome.
