Several photos from the first episode of Descendants of the Sun remake have been circulating on the internet and fans can’t hold in their excitement anymore.
The Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean military romance is set to air next year on the Kapuso network.
The popular love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong-ki) of Korean Special Forces and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye-kyo) will be reenacted by two of GMA Network’s biggest stars Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado.
Dingdong will take on the role of Captain Lucas while Jennylyn is Dr. Maxine. Also in the series are Jasmine Curtis-Smith as Lt. Moira Defensor and Rocco Nacino as Sgt. Diego Ramos.

It was earlier this year when the Kapuso network happily announced their preparations for the local adaptation of the 2016 Korean series.
Fans then became highly anticipants of the upcoming series which will be shot in the Philippine setting.
It is one of the most talked about new series from the Kapuso network and many surmised that this will be a big and costly project.
