Kisses Delavin signed a contract with Triple A Management last week. Aside from the three movie projects they mentioned during the interview, they have not yet discussed the possible projects she might be working on in the future.
As per Kisses, she waited long enough to transfer to Triple A and formally bid goodbye to ABS-CBN to explore more for her career.
“Gusto ko lang po mag explore more, pero at the end of the day, I’m always thankful for everything that I achieved through the help of PBB where I started.”
On leaving ABS-CBN talent arm
“Nag-paalam po ako sa kanila formally, nag-wait po ako ng matapos ang contract bago mag-sign ng another one. Personally, pumunta ako sa office ng Star Magic and F1 from higher boss to other staff na nakasama ko. Pinasalamatan ko sila and gusto kong sabihin sa kanila na no matter what, I’m always grateful for that.”
According to Kisses, she was inspired by the way Marian Rivera received a “family” treatment from Triple A and that played a huge role in her decision-making.
“I think the deciding factor for me is when nakita ko sila (Triple A), I felt like may future family ako in showbiz, that’s what I thought. Na-inspire po ako ni Ate Marian (Rivera), she’s very inspired hanggang ngayon sa career niya at this point. She’s still inspired and positive, and that means na kung ganun ka kapositive, probably ‘yung mga tao din sa paligid niya, very positive rin, I like that kind of atmosphere.”
On hiding the truth from her friends
Kisses confirmed that she opted not to tell anyone in her circle for four months that she was transferring management and leaving ABS-CBN. She even kept Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber in the dark about it.
“Sa loob ng four months, wala po talaga akong sinabihan na kahit kanino. I have enough consultants at home. I think it was a natural decision, sobrang easy lang sa pag=decide ko na mag sign with APT kasi magaan lang ‘yung decision kasi wala naman bad blood, gusto ko lang talaga mag-explore.”
It can be recalled that ABS-CBN has tried to provide two different partners for Kisses, the first being Marco Gallo then followed by Donny Pangilinan. Both tandems were eventually dissolved due to undisclosed reasons.
