- Pastor Quiboloy accepted Vice Ganda’s dare to stop EDSA traffic and Ang Probinsyano.
Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader and self-proclaimed anointed son of God Pastor Apollo Quiboloy addressed the challenge given by Kapamilya host-comedian Vice Ganda.
During the question and answer portion of his program Spotlight on Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), Quiboloy answered Vice Ganda’s challenge to stop the problem regarding EDSA traffic and to end the long running Kapamilya action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Quiboloy answered Vice’s dare by saying the EDSA traffic was already stopped, contrary to what Vice meant which is to stop the problem.
“Ipa-stop ko daw ang traffic sa EDSA eh mag-isip ka muna bago ka magsalita. Paano kung nai-stop ang naka-stop na. Hindi na kumikilos. Siguro ang dapat mong sinabi, flow of traffic, make it faster. Tuloy, traffic. Tuloy-tuloy wag hihinto,” said Quiboloy
With regards to Ang Probinsyano, the religious leader taunted not only the teleserye but also the network which has a pending franchise renewal bill in Congress.
“Kailan mo ba gusto mapa-stop ang Probinsyano? Isang buwan, dalawang buwan, tatlong buwan, apat na buwan? Ikaw pili ka? Baka sa apat na buwan hindi lang ‘yung Probinsiyano ang ma-stop. Baka pati yung network mo stop na ‘yan.” Quiboloy answered.
Quiboloy’s retort came after Vice Ganda’s challenge created a buzz on social media.
On Tuesday, November 5, Vice Ganda joked about Quiboloy’s infamous claim of stopping the Mindanao Earthquake.
During the Tawag Ng Tanghalan segment of their noontime show, Vice dared the religious leader to stand in the middle of EDSA and perform a miracle of stopping the traffic problem.
“Sabi niya daw, stop! Sige nga, punta ka sa gitna ng EDSA, stop mo ‘yung traffic dun! Iba ka Quiboloy!” Vice said.
He also challenged the Pastor to stop the teleserye Ang Probinsyano since its rival shows couldn’t.
“So ano, Quiboloy, hinahamon kita, ipahinto mo nga ang ‘Probinsyano!’ Napahinto mo pala ang lindol, e. Napakayabang niyo pala!” Vice added.
Meanwhile, aside from answering Vice’s dares, Quiboloy also took a swipe about Vice’s brand of entertainment.
He said famous personalities like him should think more about humanity and helping others. He then compared Eat Bulaga and its host Vic Sotto which according to him has helped many people through their different projects which according to him is not being done by Vice.
But unknown to Quiboloy, Vice is known to help many people. He already send many scholars to school because he believes in the power of education and also to pay it forward for being a scholar himself.
During the most recent Magpasikat competition, Vice’s team won 1 million pesos which was donated to the Alopecia Society of the Philippines. He was also given another million by Joel Cruz which he used to buy goods for the victims of the Mindanao earthquake.
