Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto is finally back on TV with a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode this coming Saturday to match Wowowin’s Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol’s first-ever acting project on television.
Julia will portray a struggling student who is diagnosed as manic-depressive with Jameson Blake and Ara Mina. As early as now, Julia’s MMK teaser has garnered over 464k in just four days.
Meanwhile, Herlene, who was an ordinary contestant before she became a regular host of Willie Revillame’s show, will take on her first acting project.
Last June 2019, she went viral when she begged Willie to keep her as a co-host.
Hipon Girl said: “Sobrang saya ko dito. Parang ayaw ko na talagang umalis. ‘Wag mo ‘kong tatanggalin. Kahit anong mangyari, dito lang ako. Marunong akong lumingon sa pinanggalingan. Wala akong stiff neck… Hindi naman nila ako makikilala kung hindi dahil dito [Wowowin] kaya sa’yo lang ako, solid to, stick to one!”
As of this writing, Herlene’s begging video has garnered more than 1 million views.
