Kapuso actor John Feir recently announced that after his 15 years in GMA, he will still be staying put with GMA Artist Center.
Last November 13, 2019, John renewed his contract with GMA Artist Center. Feir has been with GMA since 2005.
GMA Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun S. Ferrer and Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia were present at his contract renewal.
John thanked his home network who gave him opportunities to grow as an actor.
“Masayang-masaya po ako at ilang taon na rin po ako sa Artist Center and sa GMA at ‘yung binibigay po nila sa akin ay walang katapat na kasiyahan.”
John started working behind the scenes on TV programs such as Lunch Date (1986) and Salo-Salo Together (1993). He also worked on That’s Entertainment.
The experience that he earned from behind the camera made him a better artist.
“Bago ako umapak sa GMA, ano po ako Mass Comm [graduate] po ako sa FEU. Nagsimula ako sa stage. nung pumasok ako sa GMA sa production [ako napunta] at malaking tulong ‘yun sa pagiging artista, kasi nalaman ko lahat.
“Natutuwa ako na lahat na pu-puwede ipagawa sa akin sa GMA puwede kong gawin.”
He said he has learned a lot in his 15 years as an actor at GMA.
“Napaka-worth it po! Marami po ako natutunan sa GMA, most especially sa off-cam po ako marami po ako natutunan. At lalong nasa on-cam na ako marami pa ako natutunan at mas marami pa ako matutunan.”
AVP Ferrer also expressed his admiration of Feir’s enthusiasm and dedication to work.
“We are glad to see him grow more and more in the network. Walang question sa galing niya sa pagpapatawa. GMA Artist Center will always support him in all his endeavors.”
John Feir is a mainstay on GMA’s weekly series Pepito Manaloto. The actor was also on shows like ‘Mahiwagang Baul,’ ‘Alyas Robinhood,’ and ‘The Cure.’
