In light of his management transfer, 36-year-old actor Jerald Napoles still declared that for as long as Sunday PinaSaya is running, it will still be the leading Sunday noontime show for him.
He received the offers from Viva right before he was informed that their comedy noontime show was down to its last few weeks.
Jerald also recalled that there were only ten cast members for the first two years of the show whom he considers as family. Each day, they come to the set for tapings, work has been a time for them to bond and to have fun.
He shared: “May mga nag-iyakan, siyempre yung mga babaeng artista. Kasi po ang Sunday PinaSaya, the first two years po nito, sampu lang kami. So, sa dalawang taon, kung sampu lang kayo na nagkikita-kita, including the senior actresses and icons na nandoroon and actors, nabuo po siya na parang isang buong pamilya.
“May nanay, may tatay, may tito, may kuya, may bunso. Nung nagsabi po na mawawala na, it has been four years na nadagdagan ng kahit papaano, tapos ‘yung trabaho po namin doon, bukod sa masaya, hindi naman naglalaro lang, pero hindi maki makapag-start kapag wala yung isa.”
As to why Sunday PinaSaya is about to end, Jerald has no idea but affirmed that it will still be the leading Sunday show for him.
“Hindi na po nila nasabi sa amin. We were just informed that we have a few episodes left so let’s do our best. As long as we’re airing, we’re still the number on Sunday noontime show.”
