Alexa Ilacad is fighting back against her bashers.
Alexa became the target of online criticism after she aired her sentiments in an interview with Tonight With Boy Abunda about Nash Aguas’ post about loving girlfriend Mika Dela Cruz for 13 years, seemingly ignoring the time he was with Alexa.
After the interview, a lot of netizens showed their support for Alexa for being strong and independent while facing the issue. However, Nash’s fans supposedly accused the actress of cheating on Nash while they were together which they said was the cause of the breakup.
At the press conference of her movie Santigwar, Alexa denied the allegations and stated that she can pinpoint where the rumors are coming from.
“When I saw I was trending, it was because his (Nash) camp or his fans were bashing me and were trying to spread rumors about me.”
Alexa revealed that these rumors aren’t new and have been circulating since 2017.
“The same rumors that they have been spreading all these years since, I think, 2017, na parang sinasabi nila na I have no right to talk about that ‘13 years thing’ and all of that, because ako naman daw ang nanloko.
“Where would the fans get the idea na nanlalaki ako? Someone fed it to them. And who was that someone? It’s Nash.
“So, why would… you said you love me, would you do that to someone you love? Would you throw them under the bus over something that isn’t even true?”
Alexa revealed that it was her makeup artist who told her Nash was spreading rumors about her.
“Sabi ng makeup artist sa akin, ‘beh, sabi ni Nash, nanlalaki ka raw.’ So, ipinagkakalat niya yung assumptions niya. It was purely his assumptions na just because I was starting to have new friends, and maybe I didn’t have as much time for him like I did as before and hindi ko siya masagot, ‘yung theory niya du’n is, ‘ah kasi, may lalaki ka,’ which is unfair.”
Alexa then challenged Nash’s fans to give solid evidence of her alleged cheating on Nash.
“Please show me the proof you have, before you talk about anything. Because I’m confident that there’s nothing. Wala nga akong dyowa, eh.
“Wala naman silang malalabas talaga kahit ano pang pa-trend ang gawin nila. Ipagkalat nila na ako ang may kasalanan, sure, go ahead, but I’m confident na… So just to clear everything and I hope… I just really want to get them out of my life.”
Alexa revealed even more details about her troubled relationship with Nash.
“Nash became very jealous, he became very controlling, especially because he wanted me to be his girlfriend but I couldn’t say yes.
“So, I think that created insecurities with him, and that just became so, so toxic na sabi ko, ayoko na. Parang he was making me choose na, ‘me or your music,’ and he was saying he was supportive. So, sabi ko, ‘ayoko ng ganito, why would you make me choose?’
Alexa also made it clear that the issue isn’t part of the promotion for her movie Santigwar.
