Award-winning film director Paul Soriano is not closing his doors on a possible acting stint.
During the press con of his movie Mañanita, Direk Paul was asked why didn’t he enter showbiz as an actor instead of working behind the camera considering that his grandfather Nestor De Villa was a big star in his heyday.
According to Soriano, although his grandfather was a big influence on him growing up, he became more passionate about directing and writing stories which he learned from his dad Jeric Soriano.
“I don’t know I guess I’m just…I’m comfortable behind the camera..I..if I really wanted to get to acting I probably would have tried it already.
“There’s probably no interest at all, or maybe it’s just that I haven’t been offered a role that I would like to maybe take a risk,” Soriano answered.
However, he doesn’t want to say it’s never going to happen
“But I never say never. I mean I’m the type of a person also who take crazy risks but right now my voice, my passion is behind the camera. Telling the actors what to do, collaborate with actors, writing film, writing stories produce it. That’s what I feel at home eh,” said Direk Paul.
