Filipino-Canadian singer Darren Espanto shocked many of his followers as well as some celebrities when he showed off his new look on Instagram. The teen singer apparently shed his ‘baby’ look and transformed into a hottie with his ‘buffed” body.
Darren shared photos of himself with a leaner, finer muscle tone and captioned it with,“I could make it better. I could hold you tighter.”

In his previous posts, Darren has talked about his workouts to achieve his new physique.
He wrote, “Kunwari may muscle pero tumaba talaga ako. Haha. I’m comin’ for you.”

His posts surprised and amazed his followers at the same time. Darren also received a flood of compliments from his celebrity followers.
Entertainment host Darla Sauler wrote, “Huy, what happened! The baby is now a hottie!”.
While Gretchen Ho also commented, “Naks! Big boy na! Keep working on those [biceps emoji].” Singer Richard Poon also said, “Grabe na ang muscles ah!”
Darren’s close friend and fellow singer Kyle Echarri, also quipped, “Gwapo mo kyah, ang macho pa.” MYX VJ Ai Dela Cruz was also surprised and said, “OMG. Hindi kita nakilala! More pa-biceps outfits.”
In response to a netizen, Darren revealed that his workouts has been centered on lifting weights.
“My coach makes me lift a lot. haha,” he said.

Last year, Darren and “Buwan” singer JK Labajo were embroiled in an online feud after the latter called him “gayness at its finest.” Insulted by his comment, Darren then challenged JK with a lawsuit.J K defended himself and said the tweet only posted on his Twitter account because he was hacked.
Darren rose to prominence after joining the first season of The Voice Kids Philippines and became one of the finalists. He first joined a competition at the age of ten, where he won the Masters Finals of the Pinoy Singing Sensation competition in Edmonton.
He made his first television appearance at the same age when he joined YTV’s reality television The Next Star in 2012. He is the youngest finalist in the history of the show to be included in the Top 6. He is currently a talent of Star Magic.
