Aside from the controversial upcoming weekly anthology of Senator Bong Revilla Jr. on GMA network next year, he’s also rumored to be part of Alden Richards’ The Gift television series. The production team according to rumormills is currently deliberating on how and when the special guest appearance of the senator will happen.
This rumor made netizens especially the fans of the show to send requests to the network not to do it.
Philippine TV Industry welcoming Bong Revilla as if nothing happened is the worst twist of 2019. As it is a challenging era for Television in content creation, how can Kapuso Network go lower like this? We should hear more outcry from TV people in condemning GMA Network on this. pic.twitter.com/BRGOrkSJ86

Hi, Direk @akosi_LA. Totoo ba na papasok si Bong Revilla sa The Gift?
Please don't taint Alden and the cast with his filth. Please don't taint the show that you all said will be inspiring to the differently-abled.
Bong Revilla is a thief and a disgrace.
Don't do it.

Though there is no official announcement yet for the senator’s appearance on The Gift, his weekly anthology on GMA Network has been confirmed for next year and kids will be its target audience.
Bong’s upcoming show on the Kapuso network has become controversial. It all started when singer-songwriter Jim Paredes reminded GMA that they could do better than producing another show for Bong who had been charged with plunder.
Veteran columnist Lolit Solis fired back at Jim and said: “Kailangan bigyan mo ng chance ang mga tao na bumabangon muli mula sa pagdapa, kailangan mas maunawain ka kapag iyon binigyan ng second chance nakabangon uli.”
Bong is also looking forward to his upcoming movie with Maine Mendoza. The film has a similar plot to Liam Neeson’s Taken in which the two stars will play the roles of a father and a daughter.
