This was the exact line that Beauty Gonzalez got used to hearing whenever she was called for supporting roles she had done in the past. Her struggles have helped her to embrace career difficulties during her early years.
She also kept on giving treats to the show’s writers just to get extra lines and scenes.
I mean gagawa ako ng paraan kasi there is nothing else I know what to do. I feel like it’s not yet the end for me.”
“You are a bit big”
The Filipino-Spanish actress also admitted that she was hurt when someone in the past told her she will never have leading roles because of her body, and she doesn’t look aspirational.
“May nagsabi sa akin, di ka mabibigyan ng maayos na role because you are a bit big, you don’t look aspirational, ganun ganun. I didn’t take.. na-hurt ako nung una. Tao lang naman ako.”
“I was left behind.”
During the time when all the projects she received were just supporting roles, Beauty recalls comparing herself to her friends like Kim Chiu, Melissa Ricks, Empress Schuck, and Erich Gonzales.
They were already there and I was left behind. Sabi ko noon, paano kaya ito? I had to change myself.”
Up to this day, Beauty is still struggling to prove her worth even though she’s already one of the leading actors in ABS-CBN’s Kadenang Ginto.
I am worth where I am right now.”
From Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus to Romina Mondragon
It’s undeniable that Beauty has truly earned her spot. She has done 11 movie projects including her two recent films, iWant’s Abandoned and Star Cinema’s Hellcome Home.
Before Kadenang Ginto became one of the top-rated afternoon TV series in Kapamilya Gold, Beauty also amazed the viewers when ABS-CBN’s Pusong Ligaw aired from April 24, 2017 to January 12, 2018 with Joem Bason, Raymond Bagatsing, Diego Loyzaga, Enzo Pineda, Bianca King, and Sofia Andres.
