Get ready to immerse yourself in the first ever interactive water show in the Philippines as Ayala Land in partnership with world renowned art collective teamLab present Nuvali teamLab Water: Interactive Water Show.
Set to delight everyone year-round beginning November 22 at the Globe Lakeside in NUVALI, this first-of-its-kind water show will feature artworks projected on larger-than-life waterscreen displays that spans 100-meters wide and 15-meters high. Some of the artworks will be interactive making the show completely unique as it is co-created in real time by visitors through the teamLab smartphone application. As guests participate in the artworks, working with one another to create a new world together, an interactive relationship between the viewers and the artwork are formed and each become an integral part of the art.
The creator teamLab—a digital art collective consisting of artists, scientists, animators, and more—has had multiple exhibitions all around the world over the past years including New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Silicon Valley, Beijing, Taipei, and Melbourne among others. They are the team behind the world’s first digital art museum MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM: teamLab Borderless in Odaiba, Tokyo, the massive body immersive space teamLab Planets TOKYO in Toyosu, Tokyo, Singapore’s largest interactive digital playground, Future World: Where Art Meets Science and many more.
Bringing to the Philippines a unique, magical experience that teamLab has been known to create, the digital art collective will bring the interactive water show to the 2,290-hectare eco-city development of NUVALI that is built on the principles of sustainable design. As the first major exhibit of teamLab in the Philippines, the community can expect no less than a great spectacle. The show will be unlike any water show as the experience is curated specifically for the local audience.
While with Nuvali, it is seen to be the perfect setting for this first-of-its-kind water show with its distinct sprawling and green landscape, surrounded with retail and recreational treats. Residents and visitors can spend the whole weekend with the family, from the wide array of shopping and dining options at Ayala Malls Solenad, to lodging and social venues at Seda Hotel and The Monochrome, to civic spaces like the Nuvali lake, Camp N, wakepark facility and the bike trails.
“One of our goals in Ayala Land is to always find ways to give back and spread cheer to the community. From our signature light and sound show, art fairs, wellness and other community events across our estate developments, we continuously think about how we can create new and memorable experiences for the whole family, especially this holiday season.” said Cathy Bengzon, Ayala Land Corporate Brand and Estate Group Marketing Head.
This water show uses interactive art to enhance the presence of people in the same physical space and to explore a continuity without boundaries between people and the world around them.

Spin your smartphone like a fishing reel and work together with others to catch a variety of fish that live in the pond. When a fish is hooked, people with the same-colored reel spin their reels together. If everyone spins enough, that colored line will catch the fish. If people don’t spin enough, the fish will escape. Information for the fish you catch will be imported to your smartphone, and you can start your own fishing catalogue.
Reversible Rotation in Water
teamLab, 2019, Digital Installation, Sound: Hideaki Takahashi
Artwork: https://www.teamlab.art/w/reversible-water
The Spatial Calligraphy written on the water rotates in the artwork space, every aspect rotating in the same direction, but depending on a viewer’s perception, it can appear to be rotating clockwise or counterclockwise.
Spatial Calligraphy is calligraphy written in an abstract space and is something teamLab has been working on since its founding. The artwork reconstructs Japanese sho (calligraphy) in three-dimensional space and expresses the depth, speed and power of the brush stroke. The calligraphy shifts between two and three dimensions.
