Gil Morales aka Ate Gay denounced Vice Ganda’s insinuations about his canceled bid in Tawag Ng Tanghalan.
In a Facebook post, the comedian said he wasn’t able to personally watch Vice’s comments but there were concerned people who told him about it.
Ate Gay was reacting to Vice’s comments on It’s Showtime where the host joked about the reason why the former’s TNT stint didn’t push through.
Vice asked.
Vice was talking to contestant Jaime Navarro who had a resemblance to Ate Gay.
“Kasi ang dami mo raw kasing chika sa Facebook,” said Vice. But he also quickly mentioned that it was not him that he was alluding to but someone he resembles.
“Hindi po kayo yun? Kahawig lang, oo,” Vice explained.
Ate Gay, on the other hand, defended himself saying his posts on Facebook were all well thought out. He even asked permission from his manager before publishing it.
Aside from Facebook post, Ate Gay also poured out his sentiment via a comment to a netizen. Without dropping names, the comedian said he felt slighted by the remarks because he only addressed the issue about his botched TNT appearance, where the show didn’t even bother to explain.
Ate Gay was supposed to be part of the TNT Celebrity Champions edition. She was already included in the pictorial and promo press con of their batch. But in an unexplained reason, the comedian was booted out of the competition and did no longer enter the competition.
Backstory
Prior to this latest word tussle between the two comedians, Ate Gay and Vice already had a rift in the past.
In 2012, Vice and Ate Gay figured in a controversy when the latter allegedly blamed the former for a canceled pitch-hitting for a show.
According to a report, Ate Gay was infuriated after he was replaced when he was supposed to pinch hit for Vice Ganda in a show abroad. The role was eventually given to comedienne Ai-Ai Delas Alas.
