Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto wasn’t happy with how the netizens reacted to the failed whistle note of The Clash contestant Jeniffer Maravilla last Saturday.
On Twitter, the Grand winner of Star Power called out the netizens for poking fun at the contestant’s misfortune. “Yung isang contestant sa kabilang network, ang dami kong hindi magandang naririnig at yung iba pinagtatawanan pa. Sana wag ganun. Hindi niyo rin alam ang pag hahandang ginawa nung tao. Sadyang walang perpekto sa mundo. Walang taong hindi nagkamali. ❤️🙌🙌”

In 2012, Angeline had a similar experience when her name made it to Twitter’s worldwide trending topics for “murdering” the song ‘And I Am Telling You.’ The Kapamilya singer received numerous nasty comments from netizens after performing the Jennifer Holliday hit song on ‘ASAP.’
Viewers were expecting her to kill it, knowing her vocal prowess. But Angeline’s rendition was “all over the place” and critics said she “murdered” the song. Netizens shared their two cents on Twitter regarding Quinto’s performance and they described it as “disaster,” “flat,” “no emotion,” and “lackluster.”
Last Saturday, Jeniffer Maravilla became a trending topic online after performing Ex Battalion’s ‘Hayaan Mo Sila’ where she belted out a high note towards the end of her performance. Even the journey hosts of the competition Ken Chan and Rita Daniela and the other contestants seemed shocked at the contestant’s failed whistle note attempt that put her in the bottom two of the competition together with Lorraine Galvez.
